Rick Hawes 6.08 128.39 2 5
Most Popular Pick 137.11

Notes of Interest:

-Once again, you can’t stop Chris Johnson, you can only hope to contain him. He scored 39.6 points against a horrific Rams squad and continues to produce jaw-dropping stats at home this season. It’s becoming almost impossible not to consider him each week down the stretch.

-David Rogers blew out the group with four players putting in 30-plus point performances and six players contributing 20-plus. It was the group’s highest single score of the season at 216.95.

-Week 15 features plenty of very common picks, as there are lots of seemingly lopsided games in the schedule including Patriots vs. Bills, Cardinals vs. Lions, Texans vs. Rams, Broncos vs. Raiders and Vikings vs. Panthers. It should make for an interesting selection of picks.

Here are Week 15’s picks, most popular players and the number of different players picked by position. If you have a beef with the picks or think they’re great, chime in on the SnapDraft Blog:

SnapDraft NHL – Monday, December 7, 2009

NHL

Deadlines

12/7 at 6:55pm ET

Players to Watch

One of the cheaper options in net, Ilya Bryzgalov is riding four consecutive wins and looks to be a reliable option to place in net tonight against the Minnesota Wild. Bryzgalov has been great this season with a 16-8-1 record, a tiny 2.07 GAA and a solid .922 save percentage.

Alex Ovechkin is set to tentatively return tonight after serving his two-game suspension and recovering from a knee injury. Time to put this fantasy stud back in your lineup.

The other Alexander in Washington, Alexander Semin, is starting to produce at a high clip coming off missed time with injuries. Semin has six points in his last two games and has a favorable matchup against Tampa Bay tonight.

Erik Johnson is a cheap option at the defense but is putting up numbers that are worth much more than what his value is assinged at in the SnapDraft game. Johnson has been a force offensively in St. Louis with four goals and 15 assists this season. The blueliner has a point in 10 of his last 13 games.

Colorado’s leading scorer, Paul Stastny, has been a very effective center and is priced much lower than other options such as Evgeni Malkin or Jeff Carter. Stastny has been extremely effective this season with seven goals and 24 assists including points in five of his last six games.

SnapDraft – NFL Week 12 Picks

The following is a review of Week 12 and preview of Week 13 for SnapDraft NFL. If you have never played SnapDraft, now is a great time to start with a free $5 bonus for signing up and a free $10 on a $100 deposit.

Here are the Week 12 results. Ted Carlson has been one of the most consistent participants of the group, and he finally got his first win this week.

Ted Carlson- 160.7
David Rogers- 144.1
Mike Sheets- 142.55
Ray Flowers- 138.65
Cory Elfrink- 131.3

David Rogers 6.18 132.14 0 6
Charlie Wiegert 6.27 130.55 0 6
Most Popular Pick 135.02

Notes of Interest:

-Chris Johnson continues to carry the Titans and SnapDraft owners on his back. He produced 27.6 points and was owned by the top four participants this week.

-Nine out of 10 participants took Aaron Rodgers for his Thanksgiving Day domination of the Detroit Lions. He scored 29.9 points, which was the most of any player this week picked by the group.

-Tom Brady owners are probably loathing him right about now both in standard fantasy leagues and SnapDraft. He scored only 12.05 points in what looked like a shootout matchup vs. New Orleans. Four participants in the group selected Brady in Week 12, making him one of the most popular players, unfortunately.

Here are Week 13’s picks, most popular players and the number of different players picked by position. If you have a beef with the picks or think they’re great, chime in on the SnapDraft Blog:

SnapDraft – NFL Week 11 Picks

The following is a review of Week 10 and preview of Week 11 for SnapDraft NFL. If you have never played SnapDraft, now is a great time to start with a free $5 bonus for signing up and a free $10 on a $100 deposit.

Here are the Week 10 results. Danny Goldin is the victor for the third time in four weeks.

Danny Goldin- 164.5

Ryan Boyer- 153.5

TIE Ted Carlson and David Rogers- 149.65

Charlie Wiegert- 148.3

Ray Flowers- 143.6

Ray Flowers 6.00 129.95 1 7
Cory Elfrink 6.44 130.72 0 7
David Rogers 6.89 129.10 0 7
Most Popular Pick 135.62

Notes of Interest:

-Once again, the defenses made all the difference Danny Goldin won last week as a result of a great Monday Night Football showing from the Ravens defense, which scored 24 points. Most participants took the New Orleans defense against the Rams, which only compiled nine points.

-Chris Johnson has been the king of big days, and he did it again for participants in Week 10. Johnson had 38.2 points, putting him well above the rest of the running back crop. Now that Tennessee is playing with the lead and running the ball more, we could be in for a 2008 DeAngelo Williams-like finish from Johnson.

-Goldin really struggled at wide receiver last week with only two points, but that didn’t stop him from winning. That was partially because he wasn’t the only one that struggled at wideout. Among the group of wide receivers chosen, Miles Austin, Marques Colston, Devin Hester, Wes Welker, Vincent Jackson and Nate Burleson scored fewer than 10 points.

Here are Week 11’s picks, most popular players and the number of different players picked by position. If you have a beef with the picks or think they’re great, chime in on the SnapDraft Blog:

SnapDraft – NFL Week 10 Picks

The following is a review of Week 9 and preview of Week 10 for SnapDraft NFL. If you have never played SnapDraft, now is a great time to start with a free $5 bonus for signing up and a free $10 on a $100 deposit.

Here are the Week 10 results. Ray Flowers wins his first week, while Danny Goldin comes just short of winning three weeks in a row.

Ray Flowers- 160.1

Danny Goldin- 149.95

Mike Sheets- 144.4

Rick Hawes- 141.75

Ted Carlson- 138.6

Cory Elfrink 6.25 130.11 0 7
David Rogers 7.38 126.53 0 7.5
Most Popular Pick 134.38

Notes of Interest:

-There were only three defenses picked amongst the group, and just one of them actually earned any points. Green Bay and San Francisco faced off against NFL bottomfeeders, but neither team’s defense scored a point in SnapDraft last week. Two participants did pick the New Orleans defense, and they finished fourth and fifth place, respectively.

-As usual, the quarterback play was rather consistent across the board. What set Flowers’ team apart was the Chris Johnson and Randy Moss combo, accounting for nearly 60 points.

-The tight end crop was weak for the most part, with the high-scorer picked by the group gaining only 15.3 points. Most participants in the group selected Vernon Davis, who had only 10.2 points total.

Here are Week 10’s picks, most popular players and the number of different players picked by position. If you have a beef with the picks or think they’re great, chime in on the SnapDraft Blog:

SnapDraft – NFL Week 9 Picks

The following is a review of Week 8 and preview of Week 9 for SnapDraft NFL. If you have never played SnapDraft, now is a great time to start with a free $5 bonus for signing up and a free $10 on a $100 deposit.

Here are the Week 9 results. Danny Goldin is on fire winning two weeks straight!

Danny Goldin- 138.05
Ted Carlson- 134.35
Cory Elfrink- 129
David Rogers- 118.55
Charlie Wiegert- 114.65
Ray Flowers- 108.15
Mike Sheets- 107.75
Seth Trachtman- 98.85
Ryan Boyer- 88.65
Rick Hawes- 87.05

Most Popular Players- 88.95

Avg. Rank Pts Avg. Weekly Wins Median Rank
Ryan Boyer 4.43 148.93 1 4
Mike Sheets 4.57 147.49 1 2
Seth Trachtman 4.71 145.09 1 4

Ray Flowers 6.57 126.28 0 8
David Rogers 7.29 127.52 0 7
Most Popular Pick 136.77

Notes of Interest:

-The theme of the week was bad defenses. Six of the 10 participants picked the Arizona defense vs. Carolina, and they scored no points. The four others picked the San Diego defense, which scored only eight. Ouch.

-The defenses weren’t the only duds during the week. Steve Slaton was owned by three participants and scored only 4.1 points. Mike Sims-Walker was owned by seven participants and scored less than one point.

-Two participants had the week’s high scorer, Chris Johnson (38.9 points). Not coincidentally, these participants (Ted Carlson and Cory Elfrink) finished second and third place in the group.

-As you can tell from the overall SD ranks now, parity rules the day. Ryan Boyer has maintained his lead despite a ninth place finish in Week 8, while Mike Sheets still owns the median rank lead. Week 8 certainly wasn’t a great time for the Most Popular Picks team.

Here are Week 9’s picks, most popular players and the number of different players picked by position. If you have a beef with the picks or think they’re great, chime in on the SnapDraft Blog:

SnapDraft – NFL Week 7 Picks

The following is a review of Week 6 and preview of Week 7 for SnapDraft NFL. If you have never played SnapDraft, now is a great time to start with a free $5 bonus for signing up and a free $10 on a $100 deposit.

Week 6 was the highest scoring SnapDraft week to date thanks to the resurgence of the 2007 New England Patriots and the 1994 Houston Oilers errrr… Tennessee Titans. The participants that owned the Pats stars definitely stand out.

Ryan Boyer- 196.6
Mike Sheets- 190.5
Seth Trachtman- 156.6
Ted Carlson- 150.7
Charlie Wiegert- 145.15
David Rogers- 143.3
Danny Goldin- 139.5
Ray Flowers- 134.9
Cory Elfrink- 125.3
Rick Hawes- 111.7

Most Popular Players- 157.5

Avg. Rank Pts Avg. Best Finish Worst Finish
Mike Sheets 3.00 151.24 1 8
Seth Trachtman 3.20 147.38 1 5
Ryan Boyer 4.00 147.89 1 7
Rick Hawes 4.00 139.17 1 10
Charlie Wiegert 5.20 137.60 3 6
Ted Carlson 5.60 127.69 3 10
Cory Elfrink 6.60 128.66 4 9
Ray Flowers 7.40 120.86 2 10
Danny Goldin 7.60 125.52 5 9
David Rogers 8.40 123.26 6 10
Most Popular Pick 144.06

Notes of Interest:

-Owning Tom Brady and at least one primary Pats wideout ruled the day, obviously. Only three teams had such a combo, and those teams finished 1-2-3 in the standings.

-Maurice Jones-Drew’s day wasn’t the best in all areas (only four yards per carry), but his three scores and big yardage easily made him the top running back by more than 20 points.

-Week 6 was the week of the defensive duds, as no defense picked by the group scored by than eight points in SnapDraft. The upsetting day for Jets and Eagles fans was certainly shared by the eight out of 10 owners that selected one of those defenses. This all goes to show that just when you have it all figured out….

-Matt Hasselbeck was a popular pick, but he turned into a huge bust against one of the NFL’s worst pass defenses in Arizona. The Seahawks have been feast or famine this season with two shutouts already but also some blowouts, and Hasselbeck has shared that sentiment when he has been on the field.

Here are Week 7’s picks, most popular players and the number of different players picked by position. If you have a beef with the picks or think they’re great, chime in on the SnapDraft Blog:
